About the role:

The Port Shutdown Execution team is currently seeking a Supervisor Shutdown to join them on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Port, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the safe, efficient and disciplined execution of shutdown maintenance activities across fixed plant assets and port infrastructure.

 

This role provides frontline leadership during shutdown planning, readiness, execution and close-out phases, ensuring employees, contractors and specialist vendors are appropriately supervised, competent, authorised and aligned to the shutdown execution plan.


Duties:

  • Lead shutdown execution activities in accordance with approved scopes, schedules, work packs, permits, isolations and shutdown governance requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication of shutdown priorities, safety expectations, operational risks, schedule requirements and handback expectations
  • Lead pre-start meetings, toolbox discussions, shift handovers and work front coordination activities
  • Monitor work front progress, productivity, quality and schedule performance throughout shutdown execution
  • Foster effective relationships with stakeholders to support shutdown readiness, execution efficiency and timely handback
  • Support critical path activities by removing execution barriers and ensuring timely escalation of constraints
  • Support shutdown readiness activities including scope review, work pack review, Walk the Gantt sessions, contractor mobilisation and pre-shutdown planning
  • Ensure completed work is inspected, verified and handed back in accordance with operational requirements

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous leadership experience in fixed plant maintenance, shutdowns or construction within mining industry
  • Australian recognised Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification
  • Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary teams during shutdowns, outages or major maintenance events
  • Current and valid Section 26 Statutory Supervisor certification
  • Current WA Drivers Licence, Unrestricted C Class
